Casillas, who is also the captain of Spain’s national team, lost his starting position with the club after missing several months last winter due to injury.
Some expected that situation to change when Carlo Ancelotti succeeded Jose Mourinho as coach, but the new boss decided to stick with Diego Lopez in net for La Liga matches.
The 32-year-old Casillas, who is seeing action with the club in Champions League contests, said last month that he had no plans to leave the Blancos.
But he indicated Thursday that his patience has limits.
“If the situation doesn’t change in three months and I am asked the same question, at best I will answer that I’m thinking about leaving,” Casillas, who remains the starter for the national squad, said during an event at the Boadilla del Monte sports club near Madrid.
“Today, my objective is again to fight, to struggle and, as I have said before, to play every day,” he said.
