On Friday, Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alvez welcomed their third child, a baby boy named Livingston.
Alvez, 30, who was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, married McConaughey earlier this year. The couple now have three children together. Their oldest child, Levi, is 4, followed by daughter Vida, 2 (3 in January), and now baby Livingston.
The couple have been together since 2006, and were married in Austin, Texas on June 9, 2012 after getting engaged last Christmas.
On Saturday, McConaughey wrote on his WhoSay page:
Our son, Livingston Alves McConaughey, was born at 7:43 a.m. on 12.28.12.
He greeted the world at 9 lbs., and 21 inches. Bless up and thank you for your well wishes.
Alves works with her mother on their handbag line, Muxo. McConaughey is currently working on Dallas Buyers Club, a film loosely based on the life of Ron Woodroof, a man diagnosed with HIV/AIDS in 1986. After AZT, the only drug available at the time, nearly kills him, Woodroof begins smuggling non-toxic, anti-viral medication from all around the world. The film tells the story of how Woodroof goes up agains the U.S. FDA and pharmaceutical companies after creating the Dallas Buyers Club, where others seeking the drugs a well were able to buy the drugs as well. Recent photos of the actor has revealed his dramatic weight loss for the role.
