In a surprising development, the secondary hole that was begun to reach the miners through an existing borehole has reached the miners. Now they engineers will continue making it bigger until the miners can squeeze out.
It will be several more weeks before the whole is widened enough.
The hole reached the top of the underground cavern at 10:45 am today!
