Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords just announced she is stepping down from Congress this week via a You Tube video. Watch it here. She thanks everyone for their prayers and tells everyone that she has more work to do for her recovery.
Giffords was critically wounded by a gunshot to the head last year during a shooting rampage in Tucson. Six people died and 12 other people were wounded.
Her doctors say she is making significant advances in speech, motor skills and life skills.
