Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner tripped and fell face first onto a security fence!
Mrs. Fernández (58) had just inaugurated a science activity building in Buenos Aires; as she was leaving the facility, she tripped and cut her forehead open as she fell onto a security fence.
The President “will resume her official activities at her Los Olivos residence by recommendation of her doctor, following a small accident she suffered” earlier this afternoon.
She has taken to the hospital, where tests and x-rays returned normal, according to an Argentine government spokesman.
Mrs. Kirchner’s accident comes as she prepares for running for a second term in office.
