Gisele Bündchen, the 31-year-old Brazilian, is on her way to becoming the world’s first billionaire model, according to Forbes contributor Anderson Antunes.
Already, the top-earning model in the world for the better part of a decade, Bündchen could become the first billionaire model as a result of campaigns for Versace and Dior; licensing her name for jewelry, cosmetics, and lingerie; and her sandal line with leading footwear company Grendene.
Last year, Bündchen,launched her own lingerie company in a joint venture with Brazil’s version of Victoria’s Secret known as Hope. Rather than just lend her name and image to Hope’s products however, Bündchen created her own brand, Gisele Bundchen Brazilian Intimates, which is exclusively sold in Hope stores.
With estimated earnings of about $250 million over the last 10 years, it is not crazy to think Bündchen could reach the billion-dollar mark before the end of her career.
