So the alleged death of El Chapo Guzman, although rumors are growing by the minute remains unconfirmed. Authorities hope that in next few hours can confirm or deny this information.
It has been confirmed by the authorities of Guatemala, that there was a confrontation between officers and drug dealers in San Francisco, Petén. Authorities have confirmed that at least two drug traffickers were killed, allegedly one of them would be El Chapo Guzman, one of the most powerful, wealthy and sought throughout the world.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Guatemala, Mauricio Lopez Bonilla, told the media that they are investigating whether the victim in the shooting is or is not El Chapo Guzman.
The Government of Guatemala stated that they would work closely with authorities in Mexico and the United States as soon as possible to confirm or deny whether Joaquin Guzman Loera died in that country.
