The independent news agency Noticias Argentinas released a statement in which they claim that based on DEA sources, that “El Chapo” came to the country of Argentina in August 2010 with his wife “and a stepdaughter” and remained about seven months using a false identity.
They report that the most wanted drug lord in Latin America escaped from Argentina on March 11, 2011, two days before the DEA arrived in Argentina. The reports are that the leader of the Cartel put together a network trafficking in ephedrine during their stay in the country. The Mexican Jesus Martinez Espinosa, was arrested a few months later and identified as a cell of “El Chapo”.
