Photo: Los Zetas Deliver Groceries
Members of the drug cartel “Los Zetas” distributed groceries to residents of various colonies of the city that suffered the ravages of Tropical Storm “Ingrid”.
The groceries were packed in plastic bags and each was marked with the letters zeta. The supplies were transported in cars and vans to nearby primary schools located in neighborhoods that were affected by heavy rains.
The bags contained canned goods and perishables. They were given to people who identified themselves as victims and gathered around the transportation trucks.
Citizens said they benefited and did not care who provided the aide. The aid is much needed to help the residents to overcome their losses by Hurricane Ingrid.
The assistance provided by the criminal group “Los Zetas”, which controls the square of Ciudad Victoria, is in addition to the one made days before the Gulf Cartel (CDG) in the Altamira, Tampico Madero area.
In fact, the CDG was more effective to deliver aid to the victims, as their supplies were delivered hours after the hurricane.
The Gulf cartel was faster than the state and federal governments, which took up to a week to get to the affected areas.
