A group of gunmen attempted to rescue the body of Enrique Uscanga Angel Marin, alias “The Pokemon” , alleged leader of Los Zetas killed on Thursday in Cordoba Marina, the state government reported.
“Law enforcement and repelled an attack and shot dead four criminals who tried to steal the body of Enrique Uscanga Angel Marin, alias the Pokemon, identified as the leader of the criminal group Los Zetas in the region,” he said in a statement.
The rescue attempt, he said, occurred last night at the Cordoba.
“Gunmen opened fire from a vehicle against the order elements that protect the facilities where the bodies of the five criminals killed during the raid on Thursday 27 December,” he said.
