Today a confrontation between armed civilians and army troops in Nuevo Laredo left a toll of two civilians killed.

The Attorney General’s Office and the state Department of Public Safety stated that the incident took place at 10:40 in the morning.

“In the city of Nuevo Laredo a clash was reported between armed civilians and members of the Ministry of National Defense, killing two civilians.” the sources from Tamaulipas said.

According to the Ministry of National Defense (Department of Defense), the Federal Police arrived at the scene and the confrontation occurred at the intersection of Yucca and Azucena, in the Valleys Fractionation Elizondo.

The Attorney General reported that a vehicle Ford Mustang 1999 model, red color, with license plates from the state of Texas was located at the scene.

“In witness whereof two dead men, 20 to 30 years old, and unidentified gunshot wounds in different parts of their bodies.”
