Actor Ben Affleck is set to play Batman in the announced “Man of Steel” sequel, a film in which the superhero of the night will share the lead with Superman, Warner Bros. said.
Affleck is the heir to a superhero legacy forged between 2005 and 2012 by Christian Bale in the big box-office saga “The Dark Knight.”

This will be the first time that Superman and Batman, the insuperable superheroes created by DC Comics, will meet as equals in a feature film.
Henry Cavill will continue in his “Man of Steel” role as Clark Kent/Superman.
Well-known actors from from the first “Man of Steel” movie, like Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane, will also be back for the sequel.
Affleck has already played a superhero in “Daredevil” (2003).
Before Affleck and Bale, actors like George Clooney, Val Kilmer and Michael Keaton portrayed Batman on the big screen.
