The nation of Belize is one of Central America’s lesser known countries - that is until newlywed’s Reese Witherspoon and agent/husband Jim Toth chose it for their ‘familymoon’.
People magazine and others are reporting Witherspoon and Toth along with Reese’s two young children chose the 8,867 square mile country as their honeymoon choice. Maybe its because it’s the only Central American country that was a British colony whereas most of Central and Latin America were once Spanish colonies.
It was probably selected because of its low key nature with a very diverse ecosystem and recognized by many as a great family getaway. We are sure the couple will be back home in time for the U.S. premiere of Witherspoon’s next movie ‘Water for Elephants’ set to premiere on April 22nd.
The couple wed back on March 26th at the actress’ Ojai, California ranch.
