Arizona Veteran Has His Own Kind of Border Patrol (VIDEO)

Lynn Kartchner, a US Army veteran and friend of the rancher killed in March of 2010 has taken border security into his own hands.

Night after night, Lynn Kartchner and some of his colleagues patrol part of Arizona’s most highly trafficked border area looking for illegal activity with his own personal truck, night vision cameras, a massive light with an infrared surveillance scope, and a .50 caliber gun for what the reporter says is just for “percussionary measures.”

When a reporter asked if he had anything to say to “the cartel guys” that could be on the other side of the border, he responded with, “This is our country, and we’re not giving it up, not without a fight.”

Border Patrol agents say they appreciate citizens input, and surveillance like Lynn’s. However, they ask that he not take matters into his own hands, but instead ask that he notify Border Patrol if he sees any illegal activity.
