Tucson’s largest school district (TUSD) declared this Tuesday night that it will not sue Arizona over SB1070, but it will definitely take a stance against the controversial legislation.
TUSD Board Memeber Adelita Grijalva says, “We’re not going to be enforcing immigration law. I want parents and students to feel comfortable and safe.” TUSD is working towards a uniform policy and hopes to implement one by the beginning of the next school year.
