At least 30 people were injured when a train derailed Monday at the entrance to the Retiro station, one of the main stations in Buenos Aires, where more than 50 people were killed in a railway accident at another station in February, Argentine officials said.
At least six of the injured, including five with multiple injuries, were taken to hospitals, but no one is listed in serious condition, Buenos Aires emergency services director Alberto Crescenti said.
Paramedics treated 25 other people who did not require hospitalization at the scene, Crescenti said.
The accident, whose cause has not been determined, occurred around 300 meters (328 yards) from the Retiro station, one of the largest train terminals on the outskirts of Buenos Aires.
Television reports showed that the last car on the train hit an iron structure.
A train accident in February killed 51 people and injured more than 700 others at the Once station in Buenos Aires, drawing attention to the poor state of the railway system.
