Police uncovered a shipment of $315,000 worth of heroin sewn into the lining of a Bolivian passenger’s soccer garments.
Saturday, Elias Casiano Jr., 29, flew into Washington’s Dulles Airport from Bolivia and was selected for a secondary inspection. Upon inspection, police found close to ten pounds of heroin sewn into the lining of four pairs of soccer pants, two pairs of soccer shorts and a banner.
Casiano was charged with importing one kilogram or more of heroin and faces up to 10 years in prison.
