Colombia’s President Juan Manual Santos, former President Alvaro Uribe, the Ministry of Defense and the National Police were all victims of attacks by hackers this week.
Thursday, from 10am and up until 5pm, the web pages of the Ministry of defense and the National Police became the objective of attacks perpetrated by Anonymous hackers.
Earlier in the week, President Santos’ Facebook account and Former President Uribe’s Twitter account were used to post videos promoting Anonymous cause.
On a Facebook account labeled “Operation Colombia” the cyber-activists released personal National Police data— names, id numbers, ranks, home addresses and such.
Authorities are still trying to pinpoint the origin of these attacks.
