Actress America Ferrera will appear on the cover of the new edition of the magazine Cosmopolitan for Latinas, where the star of “Ugly Betty” shows off her spectacular figure.

Ferrera, who debuted as an actress in 2002 with the film “Real Women Have Curves,” wears a tight blue and black dress with a leopard motif.

The actress confessed to the magazine that she “hates” photo and red carpet sessions, adding that she is not “very well equipped for the scrutiny or the pressure to be perfect.”

“And I don’t think anyone really is,” said Ferrera, 28.

“People are saying ‘We love you and love what you do,’ and you’re sitting there thinking, ‘I’m not skinny enough or pretty enough.’ It’s taken a lot of work to get over that,” she said, adding that when she is not working she uses her free time to sleep.

Off the set, she has participated in campaigns to mobilize the Latino vote, a project that has taken her to several states to speak on the subject because, she has said, there are many people who are imprisoned by fear.
