Just days before gunmen entered the Casino Royale in Monterrey Thursday August 25, lit the building on fire, killing 52 people, video footage shows Mayor Fernando Larrazabal’s brother shaking down the casino and leaving with wads of cash.

In the video below, Jonas Larrazabal is seen taking large sums of cash from the casino just days before suspected members of Los Zetas cartel entered the building, poured gasoline everywhere and started a fire.

Since the fire, police have arrested 5 members of the Zetas gang.

After looking at images of the mayor’s brother at the casino, Nuevo Leon Governor Rodrigo Medina said he found them “overwhelming,” and said an investigation into possible corruption would begin immediately.
