Photo: After No Performance in 12 Years, Enrique Iglesias Announces Return to Madrid
Singer Enrique Iglesias will return to his native Madrid on May 4 to offer a concert on his “Euphoria” tour, his first such appearance in 12 years in the Spanish capital.
It was the singer himself who announced the performance on his official Web site: “Finally a show in Madrid on May 4 has been confirmed! I’m happy to return in concert to Spain after so many years!”
Iglesias last December traveled to Madrid to participate in the 40 Principales awards gala, where he received special mention for his 15-year career as the “most universal Spanish artist,” although - except for sporadic performances - his last concert in the city dates back to 2000, when he released his album “Enrique.”
His latest album, “Euphoria,” returns the son of Julio Iglesias to the forefront among international performers thanks to the success of danceable tunes such as “I Like It,” “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You),” “Dirty Dancer” and “I Like How It Feels.”
