Monday night football not only saw frost and snow but the Chicago Bears clinch the NFC North title by defeating the Minnesota Vikings 40-14.
Quarterback Jay Cutler was in top form, throwing three touchdown passes, helping the Bears clinch a title they hadn’t seen since 2006. Brett Favre didn’t have as much gusto and wasn’t even expected to play due to injuries, of which he suffered another possibly sidelining him for good. He was not able to finish the game after getting slammed on his non-throwing shoulder. See video as Favre is hit by rookie Corey Wooton and appears unable to move for a couple of minutes.
Though the Vikings were celebrating their 50 years in the NFL when it was done there wasn’t much celebrating. The Bears needed some good news after a horrible defeat at the hands of the presumed Super Bowl bound New England Patriots.
