72 Hours in Juarez Leaves 53 Murdered Throughout City, 150 thus Far in March

Last week from Thursday through Saturday Ciudad Juarez left its residents in shock again at the scope of violence it is plagued with.  Over the 72 hour period, 53 people were killed and amongst the dead were a police officer, a municipal patrolman and a state investigator.

In the month of March, which is only in its 7th day there have been 150 people killed thus far.  The culprits remain the warring Juarez and Sinaloa drug cartels that operate in the region.

The bloody 72-hours started Thursday when 14 people were killed followed by Friday when 20 people were killed, several people died in gun battles with AK-47. On Saturday 19 people were killed, several at a party in the La Cuesta neighborhood.

Sadly, 5 people were killed yesterday which in Juarez is a quiet day.
