Four patrons between the ages of 19 and 29 were gunned down early Sunday at a bar in Cuernavaca, a city in the central Mexican state of Morelos, officials said.
The victims were three men, ages 29, 23 and 19, and a 19-year-old woman, the Morelos Attorney General’s Office said in a statement.
The shooting occurred at the Dreas karaoke bar in Cuernavaca, which is 85 kilometers (about 53 miles) south of Mexico City, the AG’s office said.
The coroner’s office removed the bodies from the crime scene around 5:00 a.m., the AG’s office said.
Prosecutors did not provide any additional details about the shooting, but media reports said several gunmen entered the bar and opened fire on the four young people, two of whom were brothers.
Gunmen went to other Cuernavaca bars and threatened employees and patrons.
One person was wounded by gunfire at the La Patrona bar.
