Authorities have located the body of a U.S high school student that was swept out to sea in Costa Rica, making it the third such find.
A total of eight high school students from Ohio traveled to Costa Rica for a religious mission, in a non-school sponsored trip. During the trip the students visited the Bejuco beach when a strong undertow swept three of the students into the Pacific Ocean.
The bodies of Caity Jones and James Smith were found earlier in the week and the body of Kai Lamar was found yesterday. All were students at Patriot Preparatory Academy in Columbus, Ohio in their junior year.
The students visited local orphanages, a drug rehab center and helped fixed up a local church affiliated with their trip sponsor Impulse International Mission Trips.
Costa Rican beaches are considered some of the most dangerous because of the tides and limited life guards, thus far 52 people have drowned this year.
