The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency are reporting that they are processing 33 Mexican soldiers for deportation because inexplicably they entered the U.S. via the Donna-Rio Bravo Bridge driving four military humvees.

Many details remain unclear on this very unusual occurrence, such as how did they not know they were entering the U.S.  If they were trying to sneak in why did they basically come in the front door and in a very noticeable and large humvee.  When they were on the bridge how were they allowed to cross the check point managed by U.S. border patrol?

CBP does have protocols in place to handle these type of incidents, and they’re being processed according to those protocols and will be returned to the Mexican side,” CBP spokesman Rick Pauza said.

The border bridge they crossed is located near the Mexican city of Reynosa and the U.S. region of the Rio Grande Valley.  The incident is under investigation by authorities on both sides of the border.
