Orange County officials have released the name of the five teenagers that died in a fiery Memorial Day crash on the way to a beach outing; amongst them are three Latina teens.

The single car crash in South California’s Newport Beach, claimed the lives of three teen girls and two boys.

The Infiniti sedan the teens were traveling in veered off a road Monday night hitting a tree then splitting in half and bursting into flames.  Authorities say excessive speed was a contributing factor to the deadly crash.  Authorities are also investigating if alcohol played a role in the accident.

Officials have confirmed that all five teenagers were students in the Irvine Unified School District

The driver has been identified as 17-year-old Abdulrahman Alyahuyan and the four passengers as:  Cecilia Zamora, sisters Robin and Aurora Cabrera and Nozad Al Hamawendi.

Robin Cabrera, 17, is a senior at Irvine High School and her 16-year-old sister Aurora a sophmore at Irvine.  Zamora and Hamawendi are juniors at the school.

Reports identify the Cabrera sisters as “accomplished dancers” in the high school’s dance program.  Zamora was also part of the school dance program.  All three Latina teens had just finished a three-day Memorial Day dance recital.
