2012 Emmy Nominations:  Sofia Vergara On List and Louis CK with 7 Nominations Also on List

This morning the nominations for the 2012 Emmy Awards were announced and as expected Sofia Vergara, currently the highest paid actress on TV, made the list. 

Vergara is nominated for her role in Modern Family as ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series’ and she will go head-to-head with her co-star Julie Bowen. The show is also nominated for ‘Outstanding Comedy Series.’

Comedienne Louis C.K. was nominated three times for his show ‘Louie’ as lead actor, writer and director and received another four nominations for his ’Live Performance at The Beacon Theatre’ for writing, directing, editing and producing.

Other Latino nominees were Bobby Cannavale nominated for ‘Outstanding Guest Actor In A Comedy Series’ for his guest spot as Dr. Mike Cruz on ‘Nurse Jackie’, Gustavo Dudamel for his PBS performance with Herbie Hancock,  Tony Morales for his music on the popular miniseries ‘Hatfields & McCoys’, and Javier Navarrete for his composition in ‘Hemingway & Gellhorn’.

The 64th Primetime Emmys will be broadcast live on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 7pm EST.
