2010 Saw 730,000 Jobs Created in Mexico According to President Calderon

Mexican President Felipe Calderon in his New Year message announced that 730,000 jobs were created in the country, the highest number in a decade.

Posting portions of his message on Twitter he thought the job creation number was notable for several reasons:  that it was accomplished in very difficult times for the country and that the number was actually closer to 932,000 when contractual work was calculated in.

“We are finally on track, on the way to economic stability,” he said. “We will entice businessmen to invest in our country, which will only translate into the creation of more jobs and better opportunities for everyone.”
