Mexico once again has a teen-narco killer on its hands, known by the nickname of “El Gallito” or “The Little Rooster”, who is alleged to have run a drug gang and have murdered two female underlings of his.

The teenager, Jhonatan Marin Meneses, has confessed to Mexican authorities that he ran a narco operation on the Isla Mujeres, a well known resort area and for killing two females that worked as local drug dealers for him.  The teen allegedly ran drug operations on the Quintaa Roo resort area for a local gang that has been identified as “Los Pelones” or the “Bald Ones”.

This local gang is in a vicious battle to gain turf from the violent and national narco gang “Los Zetas”.  The teen came to police attention late last week when two women’s bodies were found murdered in a hotel room that Meneses paid for.  The women’s, whose throats were slashed, were allegedly killed for betraying “El Gallito” and selling drugs for another trafficker.

The teen will be tried as a youth due to his age and will be sentenced as a juvenile offender and by Mexican law will be released when he turns 18 years-old.
