Female Narco and Colombian Guerilla Extradited from Guatemala to U.S.

Guatemala on Monday extradited to the United States a reputed Colombian rebel commander accused of drug trafficking, authorities said.

An Interior Ministry spokeswoman told Efe that Sonia Cruz Quinceño was arrested Sunday in the Guatemalan capital.

Marijuana Cake Puts One in Coma, Nine in Hospital in Spain

A marijuana cake consumed by Spanish students has left one in a coma and nine others in the hospital.

The students from Alfonso X del Sabio University became ill early Sunday morning when they consumed a homemade birthday cake laced with marijuana.  All of the students were treated for irregular heartbeats according to the Associated Press

Shooting at Brazil Church Leaves 1 Dead, 4 Wounded

A woman died and four other people were wounded Sunday when an armed man fired several shots in a church in the town of Guarulhos, near the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, police said.

The incident occurred during the baptism ceremony for a baby and the woman who died - according to what police commissioner Joao Blase, who is handling the case, told reporters - was the child’s mother.

Record Breaking: Largest Ever Narco Tunnel Found near U.S.-Mexico Border Measures Nearly 500 Ft Long

U.S. authorities have announced the location of what is believed to be the largest drug smuggling tunnel near the U.S.-Mexico border in the city of Nogales, Arizona.

Nogales has and continues to be the epicenter of narco-built tunnels.  Over 100 tunnels have been discovered in the area since 1990 and three since December of last year.  Narcos like to take advantages of Nogales’ vast underground drainage system and its proximity to the Mexican border.

As Venezuela Uprising Continues President Expels U.S. Diplomats

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has once again taken to blaming others for the mounting woes in the country.  As the student protesters increase in size and influence, and as the violence from the protesting mounts Maduro has looked to the U.S. to blame for the situation.
