The Association of Former Federal Narcotics Agents U.S. said it was “outraged” by the release of Rafael Caro Quintero, siting that contributed heavily to corruption of the judicial system in Mexico.
“The release of this violent butcher is just another example of how the good faith efforts of the U.S. to assist the Mexican government is frustrated by the powerful forces of darkness working in the shadows of the system ‘justice’ Mexican ‘’ he said in a statement.
This announcement joins the Justice Department and the DEA, who on Friday expressed deep concerns and upset by the release of the Sinaloa capo.
Caro Quintero, who was freed on Friday after being imprisoned for 28 years, was responsible for the murder in 1985 of U.S. drug agent Enrique Camarena.
“Rafael Caro Quintero should never see the light of day as a free man,” claimed the dea veterans.
