U.S. Officials monitor a drug run gone bad in Mexico. The drug runners are transporting several bales of drugs in rafts across a river while under hot pursuit of the authorities. They are under surveillance from the helicopter and reported to be members of the Los Zetas Drug Cartel.

Arizona Seeing More Undocumented Central Americans Illegally Crossing Border

Undocumented Central American immigrants, especially Guatemalans, crossing the Arizona border during fiscal year 2013 increased considerably, according to Border Patrol records.

From Oct. 1 to May 1, the arrests of 14,198 undocumented Central American immigrants were reported, 2,873 more than during the same period of fiscal year 2012, data of the Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector show.

A Brazilian cancer awareness group has created a somewhat controversial mascot for their cause.

The country’s Association of Personal Assistance for Cancer (AAPEC) created “Senhor Testiculo” or in English, ‘Mr. Balls.”

The scrotum-shaped mascot has an adorable non-threatening face, and certainly has people stopping to ask about him.

A breast cancer oncologist has been accused of poisoning her co-worker, lover by putting toxic chemicals in his coffee.

Dr. George Blumenschein has accused Dr. Ana Maria Gonzalez-Angulo of poisoning his coffee with a chemical used in both medical research and antifreeze, ethylene glycol.

Check out Extreme Base Jumper, Austrian Maria Steinmayr, as she plunges from the Hotel Bali in Benidorm, Spain

The 525-foot jump could have been very disastrous when Steinmayr’s parachute failed to open properly plunging her toward earth at 62 miles an hour.  Luck was on her side when she was able to hurl her body toward the hotel landing at a hotel balcony on the 10th floor.

An undocumented Colorado activist will be deported to Mexico after attending her mother’s funeral there and then attempting to return to the United States, according to the community organization Rights for All People.

Jeanette Vizguerra Ramirez, ex-director of the organization, is being held in El Paso, Texas, awaiting deportation.

Former Atlanta Braves third baseman and MVP, Chipper Jones, is doing his bit to help the U.S. government figure out how to curb illegal immigration.  He considered his idea so brilliant and simplistic in its approach that he took to social media to share it with everyone.

With his idea suggesting that captured alligators from Florida and Louisiana be moved into the Rio Grande he must figure he can help animal control while helping out border patrol.

After likely seeing the success a young Brazilian’s virginity auction, this Chilean woman know only as Tamara is attempting to do the same.

On June 10, the murder trial of George Zimmerman will begin, 470 days after he shot and killed Trayvon Martin on a rainy evening in Sanford, Florida.
Since that night, Martin’s death has already had a profound impact on Sanford and the nation. But the outcome of the trial, which is expected to last between four to eight weeks, is still uncertain. Since Zimmerman does not dispute that he killed Martin, the defense must establish that Zimmerman acted in self defense.

A total of 172 ceramic works and etchings by Spanish master Pablo Picasso will go on the auction block on June 18 in London, Christie’s said Monday.

Some of the ceramics are expected to sell for as little as 700 euros ($925), while the etchings could go for 500 euros ($660) and posters for exhibitions could bring in 100 euros ($132), the auction house said.

On Friday, the 37-year-old told the ladies of the “The View” that Rodriguez, the father of her 15-month-old daughter, proposed.

The widow of the late Cuban dissident Oswaldo Paya and the couple’s two children are now in Miami, where they have availed themselves of the U.S. program for political refugees, a source in the city’s Cuban exile community told Efe on Monday.

Ofelia Acevedo and her children, Rosa Maria and Reinaldo Paya, “arrived last Thursday in Miami,” since their “physical safety, freedom and emotional stability” were in grave danger in Cuba, according to Antonio Diaz Sanchez, leader of the Miami branch of the Christian Liberation Movement, or MCL, founded by Oswaldo Paya in 1988.

The broke and unemployed former Cincinanti Bengal, Chad ‘Ochocino’ Johnson can’t seem to catch a break.  Today a Florida judge jailed the 35-year-old to 30 days in jail for ass-slapping his attorney while she was contemplating a no-jail plea deal for a probation violation.

Johnson, 35, got ahead of himself in court and thought the judge had agreed to a no-jail plea on his domestic violence case and went ahead and celebrated by ass-slapping his attorney.

Colombian actress Sofia Vergara can soon be seen in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete Kills alongside Danny Trejo, but her next co-star is a bit different.

Vergara will share the screen with Reese Witherspoon for Don’t Mess With Texas, which is scheduled to begin production in March 2014.

Texas will be produced by Pacific Standard, Witherspoon and Bruna Papandera’s production company. Universal Pictures is said to have acquired the film at the end of a major bidding war. The script was written by David Feeney and John Quaintance.

Venezuelan authorities apprehended armed intruders who apparently entered the country from neighboring Colombia, President Nicolas Maduro said.

“We have captured two bands of paramilitaries who came to attack our Venezuela,” he said on Twitter.

Two guards were killed by gunmen who assisted nine inmates in escaping from a prison in the southern Mexican state of Guerrero over the weekend, officials said.

Gunmen broke into the prison in La Union, located in the state’s Costa Grande region, and helped the nine convicts get out, the Guerrero Public Safety Secretariat said.

Police are looking for any information that may be related to the killing of two dogs in a California suburb.

Thursday morning, Yolo County Sheriff’s deputes were called by a woman who found the body of a headless chihuahua in her car in the Knights Landing neighborhood.

Ashley Immel, 20, called authorities after finding the headless chihuahua on its back in the driver’s seat of her car. The dog’s stomach was also cut open. Police believe the dog was not killed in the car, judging by the lack of blood found.

Chilean actress and singer Luciana Echeverria was mugged while strolling through a tourist district in Rio de Janeiro, but Brazilian police recovered her belongings within a few minutes, officials said Sunday.

The 21-year-old star of the Chilean telenovela “Corazon Rebelde” was accosted by three men, one of whom was armed with a knife, as she strolled on Saturday night in Copacabana beach, Brazil’s best known beach.
