Today in Latin American history, four Israeli Mossad agents captured Nazi fugitive Adolf Eichmann in Argentina in 1960.
Throughout the 1950s, many Jews and other victims of the Holocaust also dedicated themselves to finding Eichmann and other notorious Nazis.
In 1954, a Nazi hunter saw a letter received by an Austrian Baron from an associate living in Buenos Aires, saying Eichmann was in Argentina.
