Portland Residents Decide if Legal Residents Can Vote

The League of Young Voters has compiled enough signatures to put a voting rights amendment on the November ballot. Voters in Portland will be able to decide if they want to give legal residents, not yet citizens, the right to vote in municipal elections. It is expected that the measure will be challenged in court if the voters approve.
