Hemet City, California Votes to Backed Arizona’s Anti-Illegal Immigration Law
This past Tuesday Hemet City, California, Council members voted 4-0 in favor of backing Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration law. Two nearby cities expressed support for Arizona’s immigrant law, one passed an ordinance requiring businesses to verify the residency status of people they hire.
On Monday, voters in Freemont, Nebraska approved a ban on hiring or renting property to undocumented immigrants. The recently approved laws will face challenges, as Obama’s Administration has moved to formally denounce it in the courts.
Several cities in California have denounced the law while, Yorba LInda, and Orange, have voted in support.
