Colorado Republicans Seek to Draft and Pass Arizona-like SB 1070 Legislation

Colorado Republican legislators are seeking to introduce Arizona-like immigration legislation into the state law books.  Colorado joins a growing list of U.S. states seeking to curb or outlaw illegal immigration through strict legislation.  Several members of Colorado’s Republican party will meet with Arizona legislators to see what they can learn about that state’s controversial SB 1070.  Their intention is to draft something similar but to avoid the legal challenges faced by Arizona’s law.  Tennessee and Utah have also sent exploratory delegations to Arizona to figure out how to draft legal-proof state immigration legislation.
