Today in 1932 businessman and philanthropist Miguel Aleman Velasco was born in Veracruz, Mexico. The former senator and governor (1998-2004) of Veracruz is the son of the former Mexican President Miguel Aleman Valdes (1946-1952).
This Pisces is a lawyer and has held several political offices before becoming a governor. Velasco made his fortune in broadcasting and created the Miguel Aleman Foundation one of Mexico’s largest philanthropic foundations. The foundation underwrites many efforts in social and cultural development.
The founder of Mexican airline Interjet died on May 15, 2016.
