Lin Manuel Miranda

Today is the day to be a doer which is easy for the ambitious Capricorn. But it is a day to do things because you have come to adapt to a new way of thinking. Put your tendency to be moody aside. It’s a day to work on introspection not just a time to get ahead of your busy work schedule. Expect to be influenced by Virgo which means you may have less interest in social interactions and more interest in getting things done alone.

Famous Birthday

Today in 1980 Broadway super star and MacArthur Genius grant recipient Lin Manuel Miranda was born in New York City. This playwright, actor, composer and history rapper has always loved telling stories with rap including his first Broadway hit ‘In The Heights’ – a play he wrote the music and lyrics for while in college, eventually bringing it to Broadway. This success was followed by the unprecedented and historical success of his next musical project ‘Hamilton’ a play he “created, composed, and starred in.”

The Broadway smash tells the story of the country’s first treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton and garnered a record-breaking 16 Tony Award nominations in 2016, winning 11 of them. This musical endeavor has earned Lin Manuel the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, a Grammy, numerous Tony’s and a MacArthur Genius Award. This Puerto Rican talent takes it all in stride and like many Capricorn’s is known to be very down to earth and humble.

Lin Manuel is also not resting on his laurels, and like a typical Capricorn is marked by his restlessness. He has several projects in the works including “Mary Poppins Returns” the movie, writing the musical score for Disney’s “Moana”, and if that’s not enough he will produce and musically direct a fantasy TV series based on ‘The Kingkiller Chronicle’.
