Last Friday, President Obama announced a new policy of deferred action for eligible DREAMers (undocumented youth), which includes the ability to apply for work authorization.  However, these DREAMers will still be denied equal access to higher education in New York because they are not able to access the state-funded Tuition Assistance Program.  The New York DREAM Act (A6829D/S4179D) would allow undocumented youth to access state financial assistance, and the DREAM Fund (A8689B/S6883) would provide private support for undocumented youth to attend higher education.

WITH ONLY 1 DAY LEFT this legislative session, Governor Cuomo must take action NOW to be sure that DREAMers do not have to wait another year to make their DREAMs come true!  Please take 2 minutes TODAY, Tuesday, June 19th to call Governor Cuomo with this message:

“Hi, I’m calling to urge Governor Cuomo to pass the New York DREAM Act and the DREAM Fund this Session!  My address and zip code is ____________________”
