The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) announced today that Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney will address its upcoming 33rd Annual National Convention on Monday, September 17 in Los Angeles, CA.
“Every presidential election cycle, we invite the Democratic and Republican presidential candidates to address our National Convention”, said Javier Palomarez, President and CEO of the USHCC. “Governor Romney’s attendance demonstrates the important role that Hispanic business plays in our national political conversation.”
This year’s convention will address key themes affecting Hispanic business leaders, including Latino entrepreneurship, procurement opportunities for Hispanic-owned firms, corporate diversity and inclusion, and the development of young Latino entrepreneurs. As a hub of Hispanic business, Los Angeles was selected as the ideal host city of the 2012 Convention, which is the country’s largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders.
“The USHCC Annual National Convention provides an important forum for Governor Romney to address key economic issues that directly impact the country’s 3 million Hispanic-owned businesses,” said Nina Vaca, USHCC Chairman of the Board. “We are thrilled that Governor Romney has accepted our invitation.”
