Hispanic News in ChicagoBack of the Yard Man Linked to Musical Equipment Stolen at Lollapalooza
The Chicago Police FBI Violent Crimes Task force, working in conjunction with the Major Case Squad, have arrested and charged a Chicago man in connection with the theft of thousands of dollars of music and sound equipment from Chicago’s Lollapalooza Music Festival.
Juan O’Campo, 39, of the 4800 block of S. Throop, was arrested and charged with one felonycount of Theft after a large amount of stolen property was recovered from his residence.
On August 8, 2011 at approximately 6:00 pm, Chicago Police discovered an abandoned and empty van and trailer which initially contained music and sound equipment reported stolen from a Grant Park parking lot in the area of 9 South Wabash. Detectives continued the investigation developing information into the whereabouts of the stolen equipment. Further investigation led them to the offender.
O’Campo appeared in bond court Branch 1, 2600 S. California, Room 111 yesterday, August 16, 2011.
