In 2006, Fernando Lugo, then a Catholic bishop, announced he planned to leave the priesthood to run for President of Paraguay, but it seems skeletons in his holy closet may be coming out.

After winning the Presidential race in 2008 and just before he took office, Lugo acknowledged he had fathered a child while he was still a bishop. However, Tuesday, it was revealed Lugo, 62, may have fathered a second child while still a holy man.

This latest announcement comes from a 42-year-old nurse who claims the former bishop is the father of her 10-year-old son. If true, this would mean Lugo fathered her son and a now 5-year-old while still a Catholic bishop.

The woman claims she and Lugo had sex after she went to him seeking council regarding her marital problems. At the time, he was a bishop in San Pedro.

The scandalous love-child/ren will likely be brought up during next year’s presidential election, with the second child’s origins being even more scandalous because the mother was married when she went to Lugo for advice.

Lugo was appointed a Divine World missionary in 1994 and resigned in 2005, citing health issues, only to show the stamina to run for president shortly after resigning.
