A Texas teen has been arrested after he and members of his family allegedly blackmailed a 13-year-old into allowing them to sexually abuse her, the abuse lasting for years.

At the age of 13, an unidentified girl had already been sexually abused for seven years. When she was just 6 years old, two boys began abusing her, claiming that if she ever told anyone, they would tell her father she “wanted it.”

This past weekend, the Cameron County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jose Armando Barajas, 18, who allegedly began the abuse when the victim was barely in kindergarten.

The girl alleges Baranjas began abusing the girl when she was 6, with the abuse from his 14-year-old brother beginning when she was 11. As if that was not bad enough, the girl says the brothers’ 14-year-old cousin began abusing her earlier this year.

Two weeks ago, the girl finally broke her silence when she told a school counselor about the abuse. She reportedly said she reached her limit after she asked the teens to stop and they would not.

Police were then notified of the girl’s claims and the investigation is ongoing.

On Friday, Jose Barajas of San Benito, TX was arrested and charged with first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a child charge.

He remains at the Cameron County Jail in lieu of the $150,000 bond set by Cameron County Magistrate Judge Patricia Edelstein.
