Aroldis Chapman may be the Cincinnati Reds closer but early on Monday,  Grove City, Ohio Police labeled him a speeder.  The “Cuban Missle” was clocked driving 93mph in his Mercedes.

Chapman’s license plate reads “101 mph” no doubt referring to how fast he can throw and hopefully not how fast he likes to drive.  The incident happened on Interstate 71 North near Interstate 270 about 12:42 a.m. Monday.  When police pulled over Chapman they noticed he had a suspended Kentucky license.

Chapman, 24,  was unavailable to speak to the media before Monday night’s game against the Atlanta, where they beat the Braves 4-1.  Chapman who is from Cuba typically speaks to the media with a Spanish translator

In 2010 Chapman signed a $30.25 million, 6-year contract after a very public defection from his native Cuba in 2009.
