An ambush against the Director of Public Safety Teloloapan, Wilfrido Francisco Márquez Rodríguez, perpetrated yesterday afternoon on Highway Teloloapan-Iguala, left two dead police officers.

On Tuesday afternoon, May 8, Teloloapan Preventive Police, a force located in the Northern Region of Guerrero issued a distress call to Guerrero Security Force personnel, as they were ambushed.

The attack happened at 2 pm on the main road-Teloloapan Iguala, at kilometer 27 +800, near the town of Xalostoc.

Elements of different police forces, state and federal responded and found the bodies of two policemen dead.
