Florida Senator Marco Rubio appeared on Chris Wallace’s ‘Fox News Sunday’ chatting on all things President Obama has done wrong.  He was so critical that you would think Rubio is running for office again but this time against the President.  More likely he is hoping to be noticed for the Republican Vice Presidential slot in spite of all his denials.

Rubio said, “He did inherit a very difficult economic climate and he knew that when he was elected. But one of the reasons why he won is because he told the American people he knew how to fix it. He’s run up a five trillion dollar debt and you have more people than since 1981 that are either underemployed, unemployed or have stopped looking for work.”

While bashing Obama on everything from the economy to Osama bin Laden’s death he was not as forth coming when asked if Mitt Romney would capture the Latino vote. Rubio’s answer was simple – there’s isn’t one ‘Hispanic vote’ but rather several and that he has the opportunity to take a majority of the Cuban vote in Florida.

Senator Rubio forgot to mention that the majority of Latinos in the U.S. that are registered voters are Mexican-American and that majority are not in Romney’s corner even if Rubio was named a Vice Presidential candidate.  The presumptive candidate himself is doubtful.

Politico is reporting that at a private fundraising reception in Palm Beach, Florida Romney was overheard ‘acknowledging his weakness among Hispanic voters’ and noting that if the situation doesn’t turn around “It spells doom for us.”
