The ex-wife of Marc Anthony, Dayanara Torres, was brought to the emergency room and later hospitalized in Los Angeles, California due to severe abdominal pains.

Torres, Miss Universe of 1993, is still found to be in a “delicate condition” according to reports and doctors determined her intestinal problems may be linked to her operation in 2006.

The Puerto Rican actress had prior operation in 2006 for similar pains which were caused by an accumulating obstruction caused by stitches.  She received stitches when her appendix was removed in the Philippines in 1995.

Jennifer Nieman, a close friend and prior publicist for Torres, conceded to interviews and explained to the press that an operation was set for Saturday but was postponed for a longer observation period.

Both of Torre’s sons and her mother visited her in the hospital yesterday which inspired the actress to send out tweets to her fans and friends.

“Thank U 4 ur prayers. Doctors giving better news! Spending the whole DAY w my boys in my hosp room! Finally! After not seeing them since wed ER!” posted Torres.

She also thanked friends taking care of her both of her boys, Cristian and Ryan Anthony. She wrote, “So Glad 2 have such amazing friends who r helping me keep up w my boys schedule (school-homework-dinner-showers) couldn’t have done it w/u”.
