Members of the Hispanic elite here in the unofficial capital of Latin America flocked to Miami Beach on Friday for the Beach Polo World Cup.

“There are elegant women and everyone is wearing her best clothes,” television host Candela Ferro told Efe. “There are many single girls here to see if they can get a polo player.”

Yolanda Suarez, who told Efe she came with her husband, a big polo fan, said the tournament “attracts many international tourists” because the sport is “very pretty, very fine and very elegant.”
