Michelangelo Lopez Barrera, until a week ago the Ecatepec Town Clerk, State of Mexico, was killed this morning on board a car in the Lindavista, Gustavo A. Madero, while his driver was wounded.

Lopez Barrera, 45, candidate for alderman of the coalition Ecatepec PRI-Green Ecologist, was traveling in a Nissan car with white plates from the State of MJN Mexico 43-30. He was traveling south on Avenida Instituto Politecnico Nacional, when another vehicle came up along his right side and one of its occupants opened fire.
